I have a background based in home furnishing, textiles, and retail sales. I have local investments in rental properties and view the Catawba Valley Region as a excellent location for development.
I have been a lifetime resident of Catawba County. I have grown up in the area, and raised my three children along with my wife in Hickory. I attended East Carolina University as a Business Major. I am also an avid supporter of Lenior Rhyne University, and a proud Appalachian State University Parent.
As an avid reader, one of my favorite books of all time is, "The Traverer's Gift," by Andy Andrews. This is one of the most inspirational works I have enjoyed, and can inspire hope in those who read it. I am an active and lifetime member of First United Methodist Church Hickory. I have completed the entire cycle of the Bible Study Fellowship program. I have also been lucky enough to go on three recent mission trips with my church family. Twice to Bolivia (once with each of my sons), and once to Kenya, Africa.
